Our eyes are blinded by the star dust

We aren't satisfied
on earth,
with everything it holds,
We have dreams of capturing the universe,
Every untouched star,
and every world.
carrying to them
hopes of peace,and our war.

The moon is no longer left to the poet's verse,
Curiosity has it's curse,
We dream for beyond this world,
To the desolate,
barren stars,
Sending men to live on the moon
and than Mars,
there is no stopping us,
Now our eyes are blinded by the star dust,

We have it all,
but it's not enough.
Men rise and fall,
In the name of peace and love
Hungry people crying,
So much of the environment dying,
Go explore the universe if we must.
Now our eyes are blinded by the star dust.

What are we in search of?,
the gold that other worlds may hold,
We have spent so unwisely,
all the wealth this world can hold.
We have made God cry,
and we have made the devil curse.
Now our eyes are blinded by
the star dust.

Soon a planet or a star,
will fall from out of it's orbit,
The moon no longer seems so far,
and the closer that we get,
while he shines up above,
sending us peace trust and love,
we plan to crash very soon,
I think men will make their own doom,

Such a beautiful night,
as the light fills my room,
Don't know why men have to touch the moon.
such beauty for the eyes to behold,
Men can't buy with silver are gold,
Go to the moon and beyond if we must.
Someday our curiosity will be the death of us,
We are all filled with a wanderer's lust.
Our eyes blinded by star dust.

Humanity

I am surrounded by insanity,
They call us humanity,
But sometime we stand at the edge of death.
I see the lonely,
the hungry ,nothing to eat.no where to sleep
so many hearts all by their self.
Passed by in the dark,
on the street,
some loved those who have already left,
They call us humanity.

There are too many tears,
with no shoulder to cry on.
No one hears,
the silence.
Where is love.
in all the violence.
it disappears.
in hatred's flood.
There is blood.
covering the world,
the voice of profanity,
We call yourself
Humanity.

We close our eyes,
to each others troubled world,
We walk on by,
as the fire burns wild,
Hatred is fed to the child.
that is hungry for love.
In all of our insanity,
we call yourself
humanity.

They wear the scars,
of the nails.
they carried the cross,
by their self,
On their knees,
so many have wept,
Where is the brother,
who offers them help,
the wealth is spent
on vanity.
We call yourself,
Humanity.

God's question

How many angels would God have to send?
How many angels would it take?
To change the hearts of men?
to lift the weight of the world?
with so many broken hearts for them to mend.

A thousand angels,
a million tears,
How many times will He have to call,
before anyone hears?
How can He speak,
to deaf ears?

He has tried so many years,
to give the world time,
It seems the world is so blind,
to every sign.
Does He feel resign?

What does God wonder,
in the storms and thunder?
Does He need to send the rain?
To wash away the world's pain?

How can He end hatred's flame?
That burns to the ends of the earth.
Without respect to life

So often He is curst.
Words that hurt,
cut His heart like a knife,

Tears fall from His eyes,
as He begins to realize,
The light is going slowly out,
Covered by men's doubt,

How many angels should He send?
One thousand or ten?
to change the hearts of men.

He has calmed storms,
opened up His arms,
gray clouds disapeared,
offering peace of mind,
quieting the fears,

He tried to wash away the sin,
with rain and a flood,
He tried again,
with His Son's blood.

God with mercy divine,
Love so great it can't be defined.

He wanted to leave
no one behind,
He tried one more time.
Sending a light to the blind.

He left them a path to find.
But they too often choose a winding road,

He sent His Son in swaddling clothes,
Who bore the cross,
as some gambled for His robe,

From His garden the most beautiful rose,
wore a crown of thorn.
For Salvation was born,
Only to know men's scorn

For all the rainbows He paints,
And to the world,
He sends saints,
And in so many dreams,
Are the sounds of fluttering wings,

He wonders again,
How to change,
The hearts of men.

He has given them the courage of the lion,
He has given them the strength to challenge the wind,
He has given them the knowledge to change the world,
How can He change the heart and the mind?

Should He send one angel at a time?
How can He win?
The hearts of men.

Life anit always an easy ride.

When I see the jet setter,
asking for welfare,
I wonder if it will get better,
do we have a prayer?
No one wants another cross to bare,
Tell poverty's queen
why life isn't fair?

I wish I could say,
I could turn away
without a care.
Who gets a equal share?
Only in heaven for those who get there.

Sometime I wonder,
When a man goes under,
How he can take it in stride,
Life anit always an easy ride.

I try to keep my composure,
while so many dreams have died,
Sometime life steals a man
of his pride,
Life anit no easy ride
.
They drive to the homeless shelter
in a 25 million dollar limousine,
offering promises,
that they don't really mean,

I can't help but feel anger at the budget cuts,
when I see who it seems to help

Seems like some of the politicians
Are out there for their self,
They don't share the wealth.

I watch as the say,
that education can't be paid,
or the health of an old woman,
cost too much for her to be saved.

and than I look at the roads,
they promise to pave.
I try to take it all in stride,
but life is not an easy ride.

Looking out the window
as I go down the road,
Who will remember,
in the winter,
when it's cold,

the homeless and the old,
You hear they have died,
Life anit no easy ride,
Life anit no easy ride.

The tax payer forgets
where the money goes,
It is spent on Limos
and designer clothes,

For every cent.
that charity holds,
It's hard to divide,
it anit no easy ride.

Let me smile Let me wish on the stars tonight,
and my eyes to the wars
humanity has to fight,
I don't want to know of the
unknown sorrow
I still need
to feel hope
for tomorrow.

Let me feel like a child
, for a little while,
let me smile,

Let me closed my eyes and dream,
of love that has wings,
that can take me above,
all the heartache and pain.
And shoulders to hold me,
and shelter me in the rain.

Let me be blessed,
with the innocence of a child,
Find peace and rest,
and for a little while,
Let me smile.

I don't want to know,
what the future holds,
Let me feel young,
for my heart's not old,

And in the winter
Let me be covered from the cold,

Don't tell me there is not
another day to borrow,
I don't want to know,
of the unknown sorrow,

I need to fee l hope
for tomorrow.
and for a little while,
Let me smile.

Let me dream my dream of tomorrow

Don't tell me

about the end of the world,
Don't tell me
that wars won't end,
Don't tell me that change won't come,
for the human race,
Don't tell me that the earth won't
someday be a better place.

If you can't give me hope,
Than stay silent,
I need a little peace,
in a world so violent,
Let me close my eyes from today's sorrow
Let me dream my dream.
of tomorrow,

when someday this world will find a way,
to end hatred's disease.
and we will all live in peace.

Don't tell me
the world is coming to an end,
Don't tell me
a oak tree can't stand in the wind,
Don't tell me that good
can't win.
Cowboys in white hats
will ride again.
I have seen the heroes in men.

Let me close my eyes to the sorrow,
Don't take away my hope for tomorrow.
God I pray for another day to borrow,
Let me dream my dream of tomorrow

Strong Will

she begs for food to eat,
he sleeps on the street.
ans eats from the garbage can,
Some people man think he's a weak man,
But he has learned to live you have to fight.
He wakes up from a cold dark night
because he has a strong will to survive,

For some fate seems to cheat.
a little girl will never dance,
A soldier that hurt in battle
that has never known romance,
in the dark shadows. the demons hide
unknown battles in the night,
Silent cries,
it takes a strong heart to a stay alive
it takes a strong will to survive.
and an old woman walking the street.
A child with nothing to eat.

They have what it takes to be alive
The strong will to survive

You might mistake them for weak,
when you see a tear on the cheek,
When you look into the eyes,
and think you see defeat.
You might be surprised

They have what it takes to stay alive.
They have the strong will to survive.

You see a man fall to his knees,
You see a woman on the street,
You see a child ask
what is peace?
And you see what the rich man's money buys,

Next time you meet,
someone on the street,
and you look them in the eyes,
Remember they aren't weak,
They fight to stay alive
They have the strong will to survive

The body has grown weak,
The mind sometime seems confused,
That old man cheats the reaper.

and has paid the devil his dues.

The eyes are sometime seem hollow,
Look deeper
The grim reaper will follow
in the shadows of the night,
But they still fight
to stay alive
They have the strong will to survive.

Where Does Peace Start?

He looked me in the eye
And then he told me his heart
He said I cry like you cry
And I'm afraid of the dark
He said I'd like to put this gun down
And go home today
But it seems
That war won't go away.

He said, I bleed like you bleed
And it tears me apart
I need to know,
Where does peace start?

He said I cry like you cry
As I watch your flag fly
He looked me in the eye
and he told me his heart
And then he said,
Where does peace start?

A War in God's Name

He closes his eyes for awhile,
He’s so tired and weary.
Fighting a war,
Takes all of his strength,
As he walks through blood and tears of sorrow,
He closes his eyes
To pray for tomorrow,
In the eyes of a little child,
he could see,
There once was a smile,
Where tears fall on the cheek,
The child is weak,
Blood covers the street.
Right or wrong,
Who can take away the pain.
And he knows .
He can’t explain.
Why the war goes on,
Some call it ,
A war in God’s name.

He closes His eyes,
He knows that its not meant to be,
This world was made,
To live in peace,
So fiercely burning.
With hatreds flame.
Some call it a war
In God’s name

He looks into dying eyes,
Tell them what they are dying for,
The world has gone insane,
He don’t know who to blame,
All the dying in vain.
Some call it a war,
In God’s name

Call Him Allah.
or call Him God,
a higher power,
in the land of Nod,
We are all under God's star,
He is one and the same,
Some call it a war,
in God's name
