In sorrow you have become
Curiosity's martyr
Will you still light the way
For love,
For our sons and daughters
Of tomorrow,
As you shine so high above.
You have always gave us
Another night to borrow,
They contaminate your waters
As you captivate the world's imagination
Do we seal our fate
Without salvation?
As you so high above
Have always been the invitation to love.
We shoot for the stars,
Believe there is life in Mars,
Can't find peace
In our world of wars
In a world so dark,
We have already left our mark,
On the universe,
That has given so many pens
A poetic verse,
and has long been lover's curse,
Always seeking to be immortal,
Trying to find heaven's portal,
Tears fall from God's eyes for what He now sees,
A world of hatred and wars,
Trying to reach the stars,
Planning to go to Mars,
Never satisfied,
Fed by hatred's disease,
Mankind so hard to please
How much more can He offer,
We have the birds the earth and the trees,
We have broken natures law
Trying to Master the sky and the seas,
Our biggest flaw
Is we can't be appeased.
Turning the moon into Swiss chess
and a little more blue,
what will we do to you,
such a lovely view
for the world to see
was all you are meant to be in the universe so vast
Sometime it seems like you fade away too fast,
With the stars you leave too soon,
Taking a night of love with you,
Mr.Moon.
With a tear in the eye,
I see you cry,
Covered in smoke,
Now your light has a cloak,
Will it still offer love hope,
As you shine up above
On a world some say is doomed,
I remember you when you would play
in the room
With the shadows you cast
An inspiration to lyrics and song
you are all alone,yet so wise,
shining your light
such a beautiful sight for a lover's eyes
where dark despair could otherwise loom
Will you shatter Someday like glass,
How long can you last?
You can never answer
The questions heartbroken lovers ask
The light to a dark night should be your only task,
The link of the past.
You smile but I know
You wear a mask,
You must cry from the pain
Of the blast.
Doesn't the world see
Your only task
Is to shine a light above
For love.
You know where you belong
in your universal home amidst the stars,
are you safe from wars,
and mankind's insanity?
Their quest for knowledge is their vanity,
as they see your canopy,
with such beauty above,
A prelude of a lover's kiss,
proof that God exists, A beautiful light shining over love,
