Why am I loosin' sleep over you
Relivin' precious moments we knew So many days have gone by Still I'm so lonely
and IGuess there's just no getting over you
And there's nothin' I can do
But spend all of my time
out of my mind over you
Within the prison walls of my mind There's still apart of you left behind
And tho' it hurts
I'll get by Without your lovin'
yet IGuess this just no getting over you
And there's nothin' I can do
But spend all of my time out of my mind over you
And I guess there's just no getting over you
And there's nothin' I can do But spend all of my time out of my mind over you

YOUNG GIRL; Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run girl,You're much too young girl
With all the charms of a woman
You've kept the secret of your youth
You led me to believeYou're old
enoughTo give me Love
And now it hurts to know the truth,
Oh,Young girl get out of my mind
my love for you is way outta line
Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise
And though you know
That it is wrong to beAlone with me
That come on look is in your eyes,
Oh,Young girl get outta my mind
My love for you is way outta line
better run girl,
Your much too young girl
So hurry home to your mama
I'm sure she wonders where you are
Get out of here
Before I have the timeTo change my mind
'Cause I'm afraid we'll go too far,
Oh,Young girl get outta my mind
my love for you is way outta line
better run girl, your much too young girl (until fade)

Give your love to me
and I'll shower your heart with tenderness

know you want to see me

Of what I might have on my mind
One thing you can be sure of
I'll take good care of your love
If you will let me give you mine

This Italian surname of PUCKETT was a baptismal name 'the descendant of Pucci' a pet form of Iacopucci, the Italian variant of Jacob which was derived amazingly from the Hebrew given name Yaakov, via the Latin Jacobus. In the Bible this is the name of the younger twin brother of Esau who took advantage of the lack of hunger and impetuousness to persuade him to part with his birthright 'for a mess of potage'. The name is traditionally interpreted as coming from Hebrew AKEV (heel) and Jacob is said to have been born holding on to Esau's heel. The name has travelled widely and the principal forms of the given name in major European languages are JACOB, JACQUES, GIACOVO, GIACOPO and IACOPO. Throughout Eastern Europe Jewish forms of the name were extremely common, ranging from YAAKOV to JANKL. In Italy the name is also spelt PUCCINI and PUCCI. Despite evidence that hereditary surnames were in use in the Venetian Republic as early as the 10th Century, the origin of many Italian surnames is unclear. There is still a great potential for research into medieval Italian records while documented evidence indicates the adoption of the father's name as a surname is the most common form. The familiar endings of "i" and "o", meaning to be a member of a certain family, bears this out. Social conditions in Southern Italy during the agricultural depression of the late 19th Century spurred the first wave of emigration as thousands of people escaped to the New World. Latin America was the original destination for these early settlers but as the economy strengthened in the United States, North America became more popular. A minor notable of the name is Pearl Patience PUCKETT, born in Portsmouth, Iowa. She is a free-lance writer and the author of more than 2,000 articles and stories, published in numerous American and Canadian magazines, including 'The Saturday Evening Post', 'American Magazine', 'Parent's Magazine' and 'House and Garden'. In 1964, The United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, Social Security Administration made a report of the 'Distribution of Surnames of the Social Security Account Number File'. It was found that there were 1,091,522 different surnames in the file. The surname PUCKETT is ranked as 1,106th and there are 24,545 persons of the name in America.

Surname: Puckett
Recorded in several forms including Puckett, Pockett, Pucket, Pocketts and the patronymic Puckey, this intriguing and uncommon name is of early English origins. It derives from the word "poque", meaning a purse or bag, and has at least two possible originations. Firstly it may be a metonymic occupational name for a maker or seller of bags, pouches or purses; or secondly, it may be a nickname for someone who habitually carried a distinctive bag or purse. Job-descriptive surnames originally denoted the actual occupation of the namebearer, and later became hereditary after a son followed a father into thew same line of business. Recordings of the name from various church registers include: the christening of Elizabeth Phocette, at Scotter, Lincolnshire, on May 23rd 1588; the marriage of Nicolas Pucket and Alice Blanckes at St. Botolph's, Cambridge, on May 22nd 1641; and the christening of Elizabeth, daughter of Robert Puckett, at Layham in Suffolk, on August 4th 1674. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Adam Poket, which was dated 1210, in the "Curia Regis Rolls of Cambridgeshire", during the reign of King John, known as "Lackland", 1199 - 1216. Surnames became necessary when governments introduced personal taxation. In England this was known as Poll Tax. Throughout the centuries, surnames in every country have continued to "develop" often leading to astonishing variants of the original spelling.

I have always been told that it is Scottish in origin, but what little research I have done has led me to think that is my be from Dorsey Co on the southwest coast of England. Possibly a form of pocket of the Anglo-Norman poque meaning small pouch.
Hope this helps.
